Master Your Body to Calm Your Mind

Did you just get a wake-up call that you are truly at risk for early decline?

Do you know you need to manage your stress response, but
all your strategies to feel calm in your body have only been temporary fixes?

Then you’ve been learning momentary tricks, not enduring & transferable skills.
Temporary fixes don’t naturally fit into your daily life, so embodied stresses accumulate and eventually catch up with you.

The solution?

Find the path to the center of your body.

With the Coherent Body approach, you will learn the somatic skillset you need to meet old challenges with new calm.

By using a multi-sensory framework that makes

concrete,
specific,
and enduring changes

while you are standing and moving,

you’ll clearly feel the path through your body into your mind.

Meet old challenges with new calm

This somatic approach leverages your body’s innate organizational function to change your posture. Your posture, vision, and auditory system work together to create your experience of being at the center of the moment.

Coherent Body teaches you to

* organize your posture
so you can self-regulate in the moments you need it most
*
use the potency of your whole-body visual perception, and
*
learn to listen with your whole body,

so you can create signals of calm from your body to your mind.

Learning this allows you to leverage inner body signals of strength and confidence to meet old challenges with new calm and stable power.

Do you want to learn how to:
+ extinguish compulsive or avoidant behaviors?
+ unearth and dismantle the core limitations that are stored in your body?
+ restore the trust and confidence in your body that you have lost?

Get started with simple concepts that restore safety in your body so you can access stable power

Listen to what these people found through Coherent Body

I was stunned, laughing out loud and crying, when I hit the three keys and my body ‘stood itself up’. Weightless, effortless and with incredible balance. Gorgeous feeling. Amazing. Who knew?? 😮
— M.C.
I’ve been working for over a year trying to unstick my breathing and return to a natural breath pattern. The three keys and the elastic breathing got me to the basic level of it on the first day. Thank you!

This modern approach to movement focuses on how the body and brain understand information. Learn this and you will transform the way you live in your daily body with more resilience, power and ease. How does that happen?

gravity, light, sound

On a fundamental level, you organize yourself all day long to gravity, light, and sounds. When you get more from the malleable structures within your body that are responsive to those forces, and when you work through your sensory system to create change in your body, you learn to uncover skills you’ve always had within you.

Work with me to learn how to build your body skills first, and then you’ll can systematically dismantle personal narrative blocks.

Hi there!

Are you looking for better solutions to mind-body issues - solutions that make sense and are practical? You’re in the right place. I teach people whole-body emotional self-regulation so they have the skills to meet stress by refining what they already do all day long - standing and walking.

I'm perpetually curious about what moves a person, and I have trained extensively in somatic movement, bodywork, and perception to anchor my understanding of a coherent body. I’ve been helping clients find body solutions since 2000.

If you feel like you've tried everything, contact me. This approach is different. -Sue Choi

My hands-on work is informed by trainings in craniosacral, visceral manipulation, manual osteopathic traditions, and proprioceptive touch. My movement work is inspired by trainings in Emilie Conrad's Continuum Movement, Svetlana Masgutova's Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration™, somatic movement with Hubert Godard, dance medicine with Marika Molnar of Westside Dance PT (NYC), yoga therapy, and pilates. Studies in perceptual systems include trainings in the Tomatis™ Method, Bates Method and visual perception. I’m also a certified expert in Stanford researcher BJ Fogg’s Tiny Habits® method.
