Intro to Coherent Body for
Social Confidence
(starts Feb 25)
With professional dancer Leslie Stevens
Who has 40 yrs’ experience as a dancer, performer, and teacher
What makes Coherent Body so effective is the integrated manner in which you learn the skill of staying with the center of yourself.
In this 4-session course, Leslie will take you through an introduction to Coherent Body for confident self-expression through movement. She’ll use references from ballet for precision, theater to keep it playful, and music for emotional connection.
Open to all levels of movement experience.
This intro course is designed to give you the experience of feeling WHERE expressive movement comes from: a place that is profoundly intimate, harmonious, and grounded.
Most dance classes are "monkey see- monkey do" - copying movement visually.
This class is not a traditional dance class. Instead of being about the performance, it’s focused on finding the clear impulse of
authentic
centered
joyful movement.
Like any skill, you learn the basics and then refine your understanding of the process. Because this is an embodied skill, you have it with you all the time to express yourself through your body with confidence and authenticity.
You’ll have lifetime access to all the session recordings.
In the last session, there will be 20 minutes for Q&A with Sue Choi, creator of this system. You’ll also learn more about your options should you wish to continue learning this system.
